We are based in Hofstetten, near Lake Ammersee in Bavaria. The idea for BaumaScan came from conversations with neighboring businesses on our industrial estate.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN
The challenges were on our doorstep.
The idea was obvious.
Conversations with neighboring businesses on our industrial estate revealed familiar site challenges: a missing measurement, a detail that does not show up in a photo, or a utility already covered by the time a question comes up.
What sounds like a small issue can mean another trip, a lengthy search or time-consuming coordination. We wanted to help businesses capture the situation on site and make that information available later.
BaumaScan grew out of those conversations. Our idea was to bring the site with you digitally on your smartphone, keeping important information available long after work on site is finished.
FROM IDEA TO BAUMASCAN
For two years
we have been developing BaumaScan.
That first idea became an app and a web portal. BaumaScan captures visible areas as 3D scans. In BaumaPortal, you can view the completed models, check measurements and share scans.
Our goal remains the same: solve practical problems in construction and the trades. We keep developing, listening and making it easier to go from on-site capture to checking details and measurements later.
